3rd_Asian indoor championships

Doha, February 14, 2008 The third edition of Asian Indoor Athletics Championship's competitions will kick off Thursday, February 14, 2008, at Aspire Zone, in Doha, Qatar.

The three - day tournament which is organized by Qatar Association of Athletic Federation will take place from 14 – 16 February, 2008, with participation of 250 players ( male and female) representing 29 Asian countries.

Mr. Abdullah Ahmed Al Zeini, secretary general of (QAAF) told QOC's website that QAAF has made all arrangements and preparations required for the opening ceremony of the event, which will be staged on Thursday 14, at Aspire Zone, with attendance of heads of participating delegates, players, guests, technicians, administrators, whose number reached 200 persons.

QAAF's official added that the tournament competitions will start at 9 AM by women high jump competition, women pentathlon competition, as all competitions are exclusive for women.
