Gatlin,
Felix take time off to visit
American School
DOHA:

US sprint stars Justin Gatlin
and Allyson Felix took some
time off their busy schedule
to visit American School of
Doha yesterday to share their
experiences with students there.
Gatlin, the 100m gold medalist
at Athens Olympic Games, and
Felix, the 200m world champion,
answered queries ranging from
trivial to more technically
demanding ones put on them.
The 24-year-old US sprinters,
who started the season with
a sub-10 time clocking 9.95s
in Osaka last week replying
to one question said he wants
to become a TV commentator
when he retires from the sports.
“I like to be on the
other side of camera,”
he said.
On the other hand, Felix,
20, who used to teach grade
five kids took up the sport,
said she would love to resume
teaching
once
she retires.
Accompanying the two American
stars were their manager Renaldo
Nehemiah and Qatar’s
former Arab and GCC 4x100m
champion team member Saad
Muftah.
