DOHA: The Qatar Association of Athletics Federation (Qaaf) and Abdullah Abdughani and Bros Co (AAB), dealers of Toyota and Lexus vehicles in Qatar, signed a sponsorship agreement to support the Qatar Athletic Super Grand Prix.

Abdulrahman Abduljaleel Abdulghani, managing director, AAB, and Brigadier Dahlan Al Hamad, president, Qaaf, signed the agreement at a press conference at the Marriott Hotel in Doha on Thursday.

Abdulrahman said it was a matter of pride for his company to be in the forefront of supporting all major events in Qatar, be it sports, educational, cultural or religious.

"It is a matter of pride for us to be involved in this championship which is a prestigious one. Our nation today is growing fast and our economy is one of the strongest. Qatar is in the world limelight by organizing several international events and this Grand Prix is a shining example of that," Abdulrahman said.

"We are happy to be the main sponsors," he added.
Brigadier Dahlan thanked AAB for their continued support.

"Toyota is our partner from the beginning. The AAB has been supporting us always. They have been our great strength and have given us the courage to bid for bigger and bigger events. I take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to the company in their support to us,"
Brig Dahlan said.
