Belgrade
(SER): Steeple world champion and world record
holder Saif Saeed Shaheen of Qatar is having the
date of his return to racing. He is scheduled to
compete at 5000m during 3rd Artur
Takac Memorial Meeting (Uropean Athletics
Permit) in Belgrade (Partizan Stadium), Serbia
on May 29. It will be his first race since
September 17, 2006 when he won World Cup steeple
in 8:19:09. Due to injuries, he was not able to
run the whole 2007 and missed Osaka World
Championships. The Renato Canova coached athlete
is now able compete at the Olympic Games for
Qatar. Last, the Belgrade Meet had world record
holder Asafa Powell as the main star, this year
the return of Shaheen is also something special.
