A delegation representing the International Association of Athletics Federations will visit Doha during 25-28 January 2009 to examine the preparations taken by the Qatar Athletics Association for hosting the World Indoor Athletics Championships, which will be held during (12, 13, and 14 of March 2010) in the indoor hall of Sports Excellence Academy, Aspire. The delegation will include IAAF board members and other members form IAAF technical committee, as below:

Two Representatives for Organizational Affairs: 

Mr. Hansjorge wirz  &  Mr. Robert  Hersh

Two Technical Delegates:

1  Ms. Anna Riccardi

2  Mr. Brian Rowe

four IAAF Administrators:

    Mr. Pierre Weiss - Mr. Pauel Hardy -  Mr. Carlo de Angeli and Rosie Pili

The delegation will hold several meetings with the Organizing Committee and will conduct field visits to stadiums, hotels and other facilities that will be used during the championship. It is the first visit by a delegation from the International Association of Athletics Federations in this regard.  A report will be submitted by the visiting delegates to the IAAF board of directors, indicating the extent of administrative and technical preparations taken by the host country. The report will also contain the details that shall be discussed in the meetings and what was agreed upon regarding the requirements and needs of this event.

On the other hand, Qatar Athletics Association will submit a report regarding the administrative, technical and organizational aspects carried out and those that will be performed in the subsequent periods. This is to be submitted during the IAAF board meeting to be held in Berlin on 19/3/2009. Qatar Athletics Association will form a delegation for this task. Finally, there will also be another visit to Doha by a delegation from IAAF to examine what was implemented and what will be implemented in the future before the date of the World Indoor Championships so that to ensure the fulfillment of all the administrative, technical and organizational requirements.
