Qatar women youth team dominated the 2nd rank in the second version of the GCC Women Youth Athletics Championships which was held in Qatar Sports Club during 5-6 April 2009. Five countries participated in this championship; Qatar, Bahrain, U.A.E., Oman and Kuwait. The winner of the first rank was Bahrain’s team that could claim six gold medals, four silver and 1 bronze, while Qatar seized 5 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze. U.A.E. was ranked 3rd by claiming 1 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze. The 4th rank was for Kuwait with 3 silver and 5 bronze medals, while Oman came at the end or the final ranking order, claiming only one bronze medal.

The championship witnessed 8 records in the GCC region, where Bahrain achieved 5 out of them, Qatar 2, and U.A.E. 1. Below are the complete results achieved during the championship.
