confirmed that Qatar’s
splendid performance in the
cross-country events during
the 9th Asian Cross-Country
Championships represents a
very solid step of hope to
bright results in the coming
World Cross-Country
Championship in Kenya,
Mombassa on 24/3/2007.His Excellency, Brigadier General Dahlan Al-Hamad, expressed his comfort regarding the new achievement in the cross-country field which, as he considers, completes the other levels of success in Qatari athletics and sports. Al-Hamad, also, valuated the efforts that Qatar’s athletes have spent during this Asian championship where elite athletes participated representing 20 countries.
Al-Hamad wished Qatar’s athletes the best of luck in the coming Cross-Country World Cup in Mombassa in which 66 IAAF recognized federations will participate.
Finally, it is worth notice that the president of Qatar Athletics Federation has attended the Asian Cross-Country events and crowned the Qatari athletes with gold and silver medals as well as the cup. He, also, participated in the Asian Federation’s Meeting that was held in the Red Sea Movenpeck hotel during the Asian Cross-Country Championship, as AL-Hamad is the 1st Vice-President of the Asian Association of Athletics Federations.
