Association formed two committees presided by
H.E. Dahlan Al-Hamad for the sake of
preparations to the Asian championship as well
as the Indoor championship to be hosted by Qatar
next year. The preparation committee for the Asian championship consists of Mr. Khalid Almeer, vice president of Qatar Athletics Association. It also includes the members: Mr. Abdullah Alzayni, Mr. Yosuf Ahmed Abdullah, Mr. Khalifa Yosuf Abdulmalik, and Dr. Jabar Rihayma Al-Kaabi who would also be the reporter of the committee.
The official circular issued by Qatar Athletics Association states that the committee shall be in charge of studying the needs required for the championship in coordination with Asian Athletics Association, setting the marketing plan, and issuing the technical and administrative regulations. The committee has to prepare a monthly report briefing the accomplished stages by the committee.
The other preparation committee shall be responsible for the preparation of the bidding file to host the Indoor World Championship that is to be organized in 2010. The committee includes (in addition to H.E. Dahlan Al-Hamad), Mr. Khalid Almeer, Mr. Abdullah Alzayni, Mr. Yosuf Ahmed Abdullah, as well as one repetitive for Aljazeera Sports Channel and one representative for the Sports City. It has been decided, also, that Dr. Jabar Rihayma Al-Kaabi will occupy the position of the committee member as well as being its reporter. The committee shall prepare a comprehensive study and data which entirely build the aim of hosting this international event, as well as issuing monthly reports to the board of Qatar Athletics Association.
