QAAF
decided to organize an awards ceremony for the
female athletes who participated in the local
competitions during 2006-2007. They all belong,
indeed, to “the girls training center” which is
affiliated to QAAF. The awards ceremony will be attended by the president of QAAF and board members. It will be held at Shebestan Restaurant on Saturday 23/6/2007. The awarded athletes will attend the ceremony as well as their parents.
This ceremony comes prior to the departure of the athletes to participate in a training camp in Belgium for 45 days, for the sake of preparation to coming abroad competitions.
It is worth notice that QAAF nominated 4 female athletes to participate in the 2nd Arab Championship to be held in Syria during 27-29 June 2007. These athletes are: Ameena Aref Almaliki and Jawaher Faraj Almaliki (100m), Sheikha Ali Yaqoub (High Jump), and Mouza Ali Ma’arige (High and Long Jump).
