Mr. Khalid Almeer, Vice President of Qatar Athletics Association, appreciated the participation of Qatar national team in the Ostrava international event. He emphasized that Qatar Athletics Association is determined to make the participation continuous in various international events in order to get more preparation and experiences.

He, also, referred that Qatar’s athletics keenly participated in this event since its first edition in 1999 in Poland where Qatari athletes achieved 3 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze. The success was repeated during 2001 in Hungary, while Qatari participation continued till now challenging the international records and close competitiveness.

Commenting on the current version of this event, Mr. Almeer said that the age groups participations witnessed a development due to new training techniques and orientations. The competitions, however, remarked a new era of serious challenge and competitiveness among athletes in the various disciplines of athletics.
